A customer’s conceptual process required evaluation for both technical viability and economic feasibility, with two critical distillation steps at its core. AVN conducted ASPEN Plus simulations using suitable physical property packages and performed preliminary optimization of the distillation columns. A process flow diagram (PFD) was developed, accompanied by a detailed column report outlining the number of stages and column dimensions. Additionally, AVN compiled supporting information, including a preliminary equipment list and estimated operating expenses.
