Mike Burgess

B.S. in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University
Mike Burgess is a principal engineer, responsible for reaction engineering, statistics, and project management. He joined MATRIC in 2018. Before joining MATRIC, his entire career was with Union Carbide / Dow. He began his career in the Separations and Process Fundamentals Skill Center and from there moved to the Reaction Engineering Skill Center. After leaving the skill centers, he worked in the amines and EO/EG business areas within R&D. Once UCC and Dow merged, he moved to EO/EG licensing.
Mr. Burgess holds 16 U.S. and 8 E.P. patents in the amines catalyst technology area. He also has a PE license. Mr. Burgess received a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from West Virginia University.
