A company wanted to evaluate specialty products produced by epoxidation and further functionalization of a family of polymers. AVN set up laboratory equipment to scale up the reactions involved and test operations. Reaction conditions were explored to optimize the process and prepare materials for testing. The products were found to have excellent performance in selected applications, so the production process is being scaled up to significantly larger equipment.
